  • Into Starkies Woods - Youth Panto

    Our very first Youth Theatre panto, our youth group performed two performances to over 200 people.

  • Jack & The Beanstalk

    Another panto classic with a Buckhind twist!

    Another successful extended run of six performances with over 1350 people enjoying the panto magic.

  • Cinderella

    A classic tale with modern twists. Our second pantomime was another sold out success with five shows including a softer performance for those with accesability needs. Over 1100 people came to enjoy the panto magic

  • Stars In Their Eyes

    A night of classic tunes and iconic movies. Our first show since the pandemic. With over 150 people in attendance it was a very successful night

  • A Night Through The Decades

    Another lockdown, another digital offering. We once again took our talent and star-studded potential online, with A Night Through The Decades, looking at iconic moments from the silver screen, the stage and media - we recreated those online, which saw us have over 1000 viewers.

  • Aladdin

    Our second ever public event, saw us perform to our community far and wide with a total audience of 900 people coming to see our first panto! Wrote for us by local talent and a true community effort, we managed to put on Buckhinds first panto in over 15 years!

  • A Night at the Movies

    Our very first public performance saw us perform A Night at the Movies, singing or acting our way through our favourite iconic movie soundtracks or scenes. We had a small but mighty audience of 90.

    Will see us work alongside another local talented playwright to bring the classic fairytale with a modern twist to Buckhind.

  • A Night At The Circus

    Devised youth theatre performance celebrating all their unique skills and talents.

  • Halloween Sharing

    A joint youth theatre production celebrating their favourite spooky dances and songs

Events in 2022

  • Trialled a Youth Theatre.

    2022 saw the start of taster sessions for running a youth theatre strand of Buckhind Players and though it started strong, we lost momentum as Covid kept reappearing and schedules kept changing… but it’s not all doom and gloom - we are ready to relaunch in August 2022!

  • Stars In Their Eyes.

    Another star-studded line up coming to a stage near you … soon! 
August 20th 2022 will see famous faces such as Madonna, Meatloaf and even the Spice Girls grace the stage of Buckhind Community Centre.

  • Panto - Cinderella and the Glass Baffie.

    Will see us work alongside another local talented playwright to bring the classic fairytale with a modern twist to Buckhind.

  • Santas Wonderland Grotto

    Another chance to meet Santa, Mrs Claus and all the helpers from the North Pole in our very own community centre.

Events in 2021

  • PRIDE Picnic with LGBT Youth Scotland

    Out of lockdown and just in time for celebrating Pride. A partnership fundraising event for LGBT Youth Scotland, we made our way down to Buckhind shore and have ourselves a picnic and open mic event for the community to celebrate Pride

  • Young Peoples Mental Health Training

    Our chair and sectary started the first of many training events we took part in with prioritising children mental health and wellbeing training. We coupled this with becoming members of Youth Theatre Arts Scotland.

  • Members Reunion Post Lockdown.

    FINALLY! We were allowed back in the room together, and we loved it. We started to plot and scheme the many ways we would get back to business, and show business in the coming year! 
We started with an acting masterclass, an open mic Christmas-themed event and of course for our little ones in the community Santa’s Wonderland Grotto.

  • Santas Wonderland Grotto

    Making the children (& some adults) dreams of meeting Santa and all his helpers a reality. We had live entertainment, an elfie photo booth and a chance to meet the big red man himself Santa, with help from Mrs Claus. We made this a community-facing event, charging £1 for entry, the young people and their families got a treat from Santa too! We saw over 117 families. 
We loved having this event and plan to do it again and again.

Events in 2020

  • Social distanced singalong in partnership with local carehomes

    A couple of our members entertained local residents in carehomes from the social distanced safety of the carparks during the worlds first global lockdown.

  • Christmas Extravaganza (songs & tutorials)

    Our first digital offering to our followers and friends. Our members put their talents and craft skills to good use to film our 12 days of Christmas Extravaganza. From Christmas cards and crafts to those classic Christmas tunes.
