I know this next blog was to be all Panto gossip, but we just had to swerve slightly to share this piece of exciting news with you all. Some may already know about this, but if not, let me tell you/brag/announce that we have a wee hero in our midst. A Kingdom FM Local Hero to be exact! That’s right our very own Director/Chairperson/Boss Lady Rachel-Jane recently had the honour of receiving the Mary Leishman Award. Nominated by our fellow committee/cast/assistant director Ryan, she was shortlisted for all the hard work she does in our community through her various theatre and drama projects. Inspiring young people and us older generations too, making theatre accessible for everyone regardless of circumstance or ability. Pioneering groups for young women in the community and custodial settings. Rachel-Janes ability to encourage, build confidence and support is unwavering. We at Players are privileged to have her supporting us. So from your Players family-Thankyou!!
